December Wellness Tips For Traveling
By Jen Milquet, Wellness Coordinator

December 2025 Wellness Tip
The holidays are upon us, which means traveling for many of us. This can be a challenging time to maintain our health and well-being. Below are some quick tips you can use to help prioritize your health while you embark on your travels.
Stay Hydrated
When you’re not as active, it’s easy to become dehydrated. Remember to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your travels.
Pack Healthy Snacks
We tend to become reliant on fast food when we travel. Try pre-packing some healthy snacks like nuts, trail mix, fruit, granola, etc. to keep you satisfied. Snacks that are higher in protein are going to hold you over longer.
Prioritize Sleep and Rest
Try to maintain a consistent sleep schedule. An alteration in your sleep pattern, or your overall sleep in general, can cause fatigue and a decrease in your immune function.
Stay Active
Stopping for short durations to stretch your legs or move around a little bit can help maintain good circulation and decrease stiffness. You can try doing a few simple stretches as well to target more “irritated” areas.
By incorporating these simple tips you are sure to make your travels more comfortable and enjoyable during the holiday season!
