Spring is here which means we can hopefully expect some warmer weather soon!  This marks a great time to think about your hydration.  Dehydration is always a large concern regarding your health.  However, when we are outside in warmer or hot temperatures, the risk of dehydration increases.  Dehydration can cause symptoms such as unclear thinking, dizziness, headaches, weakness, mood changes, constipation and more.  This is why drinking enough water every day is vital to your overall health and bodily functions.

Here are some tips to help you stay hydrated so you can enjoy these summer months safely:

  • Carry a refillable water bottle with you everywhere you go
  • Choose water over sugary drinks
  • Try to drink at least 1-2 glasses of water with every meal
  • Keep a water bottle in your car

Don’t like the taste of water?  Try some of these easy solutions to help make water more appealing:

  • Add lemon, lime, cucumber or fruit to add some flavor to your water
  • Add a splash of 100% juice to your water
  • Sugar free sparkling water is a great alternative if you like fizz in your drinks
